RAW_TRIX play gritty pop, influenced by (post-)punk and 90s electronic music. Distorted guitars over beats that are reminiscent of trip-hop in places and drum’n’bass in others. Every now and then a bird chirps or the buzzing of an annoying fly drifts into your ear. Over it all, two voices – at times soulful and delicate, at others snotty and angry. One belongs to Lisa, the other to Toni. Live, the pair perform with electric guitar and bass. On their first EP, they explore the theme of transformation. What once was is no more, and what is to come remains unknown. Like a snake that has just been skinned, ‘intensa’ winds its way through the quicksand of the changing spirit of the times, only to finally emerge into the sunlight.
